40k League - 11th - Season 1 - Round 4 - Division 2

Round 3 results

With round 3 complete let’s take a look at how the games went and if the master predictor has kept his famously clean sheet.

First off the game between myself and Alexei has been pushed back and will need to be a catch up game so I can only apologise to all my fans as they stand humbely waiting for the results!

As for completed games we kick ourselves off with another correct prediction. I haven’t looked into how the game went but either way the lions ate the knights and that’s all that matters to me!

Here’s where things get tricky as allegedly in my last predictions Gary was meant to win this. Now in a twist of fate my balls have burst and my first incorrect prediction has finally happened. Well played Olly. I’m disappointed in you Gary.

Round 4 predictions

First up for round 4 we’ve got Jack vs the beast that is Joe Fucking Adams

Now this game is being played after the dataslate and as such lists are potentially changing however if lists remain the same it will be a slaughter. As Joe brings in a bucket load of big dudes in the form of the nasty eightbound backed up by some fire support from the forgefiends and a defiler whilst the CSM list is a much more combined arms list with a couple hammer units and a lot of action monkeys that can luckily pivot into doing a bit of damage if needed. Purge into recon should favour the recon csm as I can try to control the tempo of the game and not allow Joe to get his consecration off too early.

Jack Victory

Next up we’ve got James and his golden boys vs Alexeis Tau. Now at the time of writing this Alexei has come hot off an event doing fairly well and realising a new found way to play his list with a lot of aggression in the early turns before using the kauyon detachment to put the final nail in the coffin. Could this early aggression play into James’s favour? Who knows cause I honestly don’t think I can put one of these titans ahead of the other. If it turns out to be a fairly even game Alexie on Prio does have the benefit of a higher primary score so I gotta give it to him.

Alexei victory

Last of the games to be played in round 4 is Ollys take on tau vs the plank man himself.

Now I imagine this match up will be similar to Ollys game vs the more spiky version of knights and as such I think Olly has the advantage. Unless the game is played after the slate and lists change it is even the exact same dispositions so Olly just needs to do what he did vs Gary again. Now with all that being said Ryan is Gary and unfortunately for the Tau. Imperial Knights are just better than Chaos as far as I’m aware. Il still have the prediction off the track record and give it to the fish with guns.
