40k League - 11th - Season 1 - Round 2 - Division 5

Scores are in and pairings for round two are up, let’s check in on the progress. 

Round 1 Scores: 

Ben J vs Neil (Ultramarines Gladius v Ultramarines Librarius + Reclamation) 

Prediction: Neil

Winner: Ben

Ben has provided his own report for this game:It was an utter blood bath!! With a good amount of invuns from Neil. Now back with yours truly, 2 points in it but it looks like the best of tenth worked to Bens favour to scrape the win!

Nick v John (Thousand Sons Hexwarp & Ritual v Tau Mont’ka) 

Prediction: John

Winner: Jon

A very cagey game with not much happening till round 3. Dice were in Jon’s favour and he manage to kill more. 

Jamie v Aidan (Blood Angels LAG v Custodes Shield Host & Tharanatoi)

Prediction: Aidan

Result: Draw

Not to sure what’s happened for this one but both seem to have managed a draw. We’ll check back in later to see if the score changes. 

Phil v HH (Blood Angels LAG v 7 player league format)

Prediction: HH

Winner: Phil

Phil got the first bye (and only) bye round of the league. Things have been pretty quiet so I guess he manage a convincing win against the Club.

Round 2 predictions

Ben v Phil (UM Gladius v Blood Angles LAG)

Prediction: Ben

The best of tenth Ben brings to the table will have plenty of counters to the melee prowess of the Blood Angels. The mix of units will provider the ever flexible ultramarines with the options for the win. 

Jon v Jamie (Tau Mont’ka v Blood Angels LAG)

Prediction: Jon

Tau didn’t first balance data slate of the edition too badly in my opinion. That being so blood angels have been struggling in this addition so far. Will be looking at an unstoppable force first and immovable object are the missions, where Jamie will have to hold objectives and Jon to kill and take them. My advice Jamie, just keep yourself hidden till you can get on top of them! That being said Jon will try and shoot him from afar and I think he’s got the fire power to do it! 

Aidan v Neil (Custodes Shield Host and Tharanatoi Hammerblow v SM Librarius Conclave and Reclamation Force)

Prediction: Aidan 

This will be a game of the 4+ invuls. Marines have more units but Custodes have purge and a lot of attacks. This I think will give them the edge. 

Nick v Thomas (TS Grand Coven v SM Blades of Ultramar)

Prediction: Thomas 

Battle of the book readers. Codex authors vs seekers of forbidden knowledge. Nick has some tough beasts to get through, however, I’m sure the Space Marines have the tools to deal with it!
