40k League - 11th - Season 1 - Round 1 - Division 4

Welcome to the league 4 predictions. Let's hope I can best the normal prediction machines that are Craig and the Wrangler! 

Into the first week my Chaos Primarch brother (Harry) has a bye- So he is getting a big win and ensuring that the lords of the Warp are pleased by one of their son’s. 

First battle is Mark F Vs Jamie P. 

Nasty Nids Vs the Blue Virgin’s (vomit noises!) 

Mark is running a bunch of big smelly bugs, hunting biomass! Feels like he is trying to play knights without playing knights. Jamie is running hero hammer with the 13th companies finest; they are doing the best for Ultramar. I will tip my hat at Jamie taking Bobby G, if you have a primarch- you should use them. Disruption/take and hold vs Priority assets. Having looked at the lists, I am sad to say that I must side with the boys in blue! I am not sure there are enough of the bugs to stop/slow down Ultra’s. Due to this I am going for 60-90 in favor of Jamie (Sob). 

Angelito vs Matt 

“For the greater good” Tau Vs Astra Militarum. 

LONG gun line Vs Slightly shorter gun line, Priority assets/Recon vs Recon/purge 

Having limited knowledge into Tau and astra, because I wouldn't lower my standards to be that “good” and learn more about their lists. From my limited knowledge this will not be up close and personal, just two guys hoping they can shoot the other off the table. I think that I am going to put my money on ....Astra in this circumstance. Seems to have more tanks and that heavier armour might prevent Tau from getting the upper hand, after all- the emperor protects.  75-85 in favour of Astra.  

THE MAIN EVENT 

Leo Vs Dickie 

Hit me baby (because I love it) Vs Astra that wants to Punch? 

Disruption vs Purge/Take and hold. I was dreading this match up, Dickie is a wiley player and always has a plan. As tough as this will be, I know we will have fun. Astra have several Bullgryns and less tanks than I was expecting, which might mean I have a bit more luck. I have the brittle Fulgrim leading the line (if you have a primarch..use him) as well as a defiler and lots of little guys. Into most opponents I would back my boys to have so much pleasure that the run away with it, but old scars suggest that Astra will be getting a 2nd win this week. 65- 85 in Favour of Astra.
