Greetings sports fans, this is AiDAN Smalley from the Disgustingly Resilient Leaguecast, bringing you hard hitting journalism on the mid league, featuring the middest bunch of mid players that Hobby Henchmen can muster.

Fixtures:

Dan (Death Guard / Purge) vs Joe (Leagues of Votann / probably also Purge)

Josh (Chaos Knights / Purge) vs Matt (Necrons / Take and Hold)

Craig (Death Guard / Recon) vs Jamie (Imperial Knights / Purge)

Weir (Dark Angels / Recon) – BYE

Dan Vs Joe:

As of the date I’m writing this, Joe’s disposition is a mystery, but I’m gonna assume it’s Purge because HURR HURR HURR LET’S KILL EACH OTHER.

I’ve played 2 games against the squats so far, getting stomped in the first game and the stomping my opponent in the second, so let’s see how the rubber match goes.

Both of our lists are geared up to do a lot of killing, so this will probably come down to who can make a dent in their opponent’s army first.

Of course I’m picking me, this is my blog and Joe hasn’t played a game of 11th yet. If I lose, it was all a fix.

Prediction: Dan

Josh Vs Matt:

Honestly. Who tf brings Necrons to a friendly league? Matt does. BOOOOOOO. I could go on for ages about how much I hate Necrons and how they just wont die and then they get back up again and they’ve got janky bullshit mechanics and anyone who plays them should have a word with themselves but no, Matt is entitled to play them, and I’m here to deliver completely unbiased commentary on who is going to win this clash of Robots and Bigger Robots.

Purge into Take and Hold could be rough for Matt, especially as Josh is packing some seriously smooth brained fire power to blast at the undying legion of living metal, but, I think Matt simply has too much stuff (plus the goddamn C’Tans) to stand on objectives all day and not die. That being said, if the Porphyrion one shots the Nightbringer – absolute scenes.

Prediction: Matt

Craig vs Jamie:

Craig is more of the thinking man’s Death Guard player compared to me, and it shows in his list which is an interesting combination of endless Poxwalkers, some DG staples and a couple of Brigands to keep his opponents honest. Jamie is bringing mostly Bigs with a couple of Helverins to blast marines and terminators to death.

Like with the previous match up, I think Jamie is going to have too much stuff to chew through which will allow Craig to go big brain and perform all of the actions he wants. If Jamie has some flamers in his list though…this could be a rough night for Craig.

Prediction: Craig

Finally, we have Weir who has a BYE this week, and therefore has the opportunity to try out his list for two weeks ahead of Round 2. What this will likely mean is Weir will use enough thinking power to make a water cooled PC blush, before ultimately settling on “bikes go brrrrr”.

Results: Mark vs Jamie (Nids vs Ultra) 80-20 I believe this was a bye to be played at a later date, so the boys in blue will get a chance for some nid killing at some point. Time shall tell! Matt vs A
