Slightly out of order because I obey no one else’s laws of continuity.

I didn’t have the result for Harry V Leo on our last roundup and it deserves a special shout out as it was Leo’s maiden victory across both leagues!! I hope this shows that sticking with the cool guys improves your game and that it was a good night for Leo. Congratulations Leo and Harry…..there was a reason we put your face on a mug in Season 1.

Chris V Harry – Guard/Tsons

I foolishly overestimated Harry in this match up and I have been punished for my sins. I suggested he might reach 60VP and he managed a paltry 37, disgusting. Alongside that Chris bashed out another sweet 100 to only add to the shame. Sometimes I wonder if Harry has bought loaded dice but they are loaded for being a shit-head. Friendly reminder that Harry is currently bringing a Brigand in his Tsons list and needs to continue being vilified for said choice.

This keeps Chris on course for a double league championship and honestly I don’t know who I am rooting for between him and Gary as they both brought smooth brain skew lists (and handily beat me but that is nothing to do with why I am throwing shade).

Leo V Gary – CSM/CK

I told myself to predict with my head, not with my heart, and I have let myself down here. I couldn’t see past Leo’s mad gunline into Gary’s mech boys. It is difficult enough to see past Gary if you are standing behind him let alone when he is piloting his pack of dogs.

I heard Leo bemoaning his dice plenty on his key early turns but I also think he may have deployed a little too far forward. It also serves to show what a bit of screening can do to protect your army. Yes CK can Knight of Shades two dogs or one Lancer but it can prevent the whole army smashing into you in the same turn.

Gary has now successfully smashed aside one hull heavy gunline but can he do it next week when there are no easy Havocs to pick up and just more fucking Rogal Dorns.

Luke V Rob – Votann/Admech

Luke steps into Tony’s shoes and comes dancing with the big boys! Can he move in step or will he trip over his own feet? That is the end of the dancing metaphors I know you all really come here for.

Loud complaining of bad dice aplenty (I was playing between Leo and Luke’s tables so I heard it a lot) meant Rob was able to grind out another victory for the betrodden Admech.

I don’t think Votann go well into swarmier armies but excel into the more elite options or those with chonky expensive units. Admech has absolutely none of those expensive units – it is just a wall of garbage running at you.

A royal hammering was exacted upon the space dwarves, and Luke’s undefeated run comes to an end. Which is will get back on track within a week against me. Fucking Votann.
