Spring 2024 Leagues Begin – Early Favourites Emerge

The second season of the Hobby Henchmen League at Legion (have I got all our sponsors included?) commences this month and we have decided to keep a running commentary on the event of the year. This is in no way due to popular demand – entirely self indulgent.

I don’t know what structure this will take to be honest but I think it will mostly be looking at weekly fixtures and lists as well as the results after the fact. Ideally I will get some input from players about their games so we can all vicariously enjoy each others greatest wins and most ignoble defeats.If anyone would be interested in writing a post for here please let me know!

The two leagues are split as follows:

Try Hard – Ben (GK), Chris (Guard), Gary (CK), Harry (Tsons), Leo (CSM, Rob (Admech), Me (Custodes), Tony (CSM.Casual – Andy (Smurfs), Ben J (Smurfs), Brett (Nids), Ed (Tau), Joel (DG), Karl (Orks), Luke (Votann), Philip (CSM), Richard (Eldar, James (Unknown).

For those that don’t know – both leagues will be playing the same missions but the Casual League will have flexi lists and no fixed deadline for playing their matches.

Favourites

I have asked a couple of people who their favourites are before we kick off.

Sam’s Favourites:

Try Hard – Gary or Rob. Gary because he just about has the three brain cells necessary to run his list effectively. Rob because I guess he will have over a thousand bodies on the field. Wildcard being Harry because his aggressive smack talk might intimidate the field.

Casual – Luke or Brett. Luke because of how murdery his list is and Brett because of how scorey it is. Wildcard being Richard if he brings a meta AF Eldar list because he is a gamey cunt.

Chris’ Favourites:

Try Hard – Gary and Me – but that is only because Chris and I are lovers and he feels obligated. Rob is his other choice if I let him down. Tony is his wildcard.

Casual – Luke and Andy with Brett as the wildcard.Harry’s Favourites:Try Hard – Now I think about it Tony or, and I hate to say it, Chris. Leo as the wildcard because it be wonderful.Casual – Luke and Andy.

Ben’s Favourites:

Try Hard – Robs robots and Gary.

Casual – Luke followed by Brett. Wildcard being Joel and his stinky boys.
